It’s that time again! We are honored to premiere yet another track on the site – this time, from Los Angeles-based producer, songwriter, and artist, Rob Tirea. Hot off a successful launch of his brand new hybrid live show, Rob shares his latest single, “Thoughts of You,” exclusively on TSIS.
Tirea’s approach to the progressive house genre feels new and refreshing. In a landscape where it can feel like most songs are iterations of one another, “Thoughts of You” breaks through that stereotype with uniquely curated synth sounds, and even a touch of indie rock influence. Not to mention, Rob’s voice SHINES on “Thoughts of You.” His layering of harmonies and softness in delivery make for the perfect topline.
Rob shared the meaning behind “Thoughts of You,” commenting:
‘Thoughts of You’ is about how we sometimes allow ourselves to self-sabotage. It touches on ego, the end of culture, heartache, and all of the aspects of life that make it a rollercoaster. I wanted to talk to my future self like a time-traveling journalist that figured out the only way to get my words out was through music.
