Name a better duo than spooky season and bass music. There’s something about the genre’s sinister sound that pairs perfectly with Halloween, and we love seeing what producers do with it. The latest artist to go this route is emerging bass producer Tape B. His latest track “About Me Too” is the lead single off his upcoming EP Hallow Tapes, dropping next week, October 27.
The sonic journey of “About Me Too” feels like a horror movie. Tape B strikes a hopeful tone at the beginning of the track with melodic piano and a gorgeous female vocal. But then he introduces us to the evil spirit of the track as we plunge into a menacing drop. Filled with organ-like synth and skittering keys, the main chorus achieves a creepy mood that stays with us for the rest of the song.
“About Me Too” comes at you in waves, with each synth introducing a new layer of energy that you’re not expecting.
