Rebūke Continues Highly Anticipated Album Rollout With Riveting Single “Choose Life”

|||

One of dance music’s most forward-thinking artists Rebūke is on the verge of releasing his highly anticipated debut album The World Of Era this Spring. Off the heels of last month’s release, “Endless” with deadmau5, Rebūke comes with one of the most captivating and breathtaking singles of the year in “Choose Life” with Linksa.

Rebūke’s Irish roots were the source of inspiration for this track. As it is a contemporary take on the iconic Irvine Welsh film Trainspotting. The opening monologue in the film sees Mark Renton (played by Ewan McGregor) criticizing the idea of conforming to normal life.

Rebūke and Linska reimagine the monologue and apply contemporary scenarios and instead make it a motivating and existential message.

“Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking smart television. Choose wireless headphones, paper straws, prioritising mental wellbeing and streaming subscriptions… Choose saving up all your money to travel the world just to have the weather fuck up all your plans… Choose an existential crisis after asking AI to do a task in ten seconds that would have taken you ten hours… Choose your future, choose life.”

This futuristic take is all we needed to hear to get excited about Rebūke’s upcoming album. “Choose Life” has a hint of Touchtalk’s track, “Change It,” in the sense of being a transformative song built around an evocative spoken word. Except Rebūke’s track is a modern-day techno banger. His album The World Of Era can’t come soon enough.
