There’s a solid chance that Red Rocks may be able to operate at a fair capacity this year. Denver Arts and Venues has asked the state permission to host 2,500 people at the iconic amphitheater, with the possibility of more later in the year. 2,500 people is about 25% capacity, a massive adjustment from the 175 capacity shows they threw last fall.
There would still be social distancing implemented, with groups having to stay six feet apart and wear masks. There will also be other rules in place that help keep people moving safely throughout the venue, particularly while entering and exiting.
Brian Kitts, the director of communications for Red Rocks, says they hope to be hosting concerts at 80% capacity by the end of the summer.
