Red Rocks Amphitheatre is missing us just as much as we miss it. The venue today announced that they will be hosting a series of shows next weekend, with artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Phoebe Bridges, Nathaniel Rateliff, Sam Hunt, and more performing. The catch? These artists will be performing to an empty amphitheater, with no tickets being sold to the events.
This is, of course, due to the current pandemic, but Visible Mobile is planning on making these concerts fully interactive. Here’s what they’re doing to make it feel like you’re actually at the show:
Cheer-O-Meter: Has 2020 made you feel like screaming? Well, now’s your chance! Yell into your laptop or phone mic, and by the time it travels through our air waves, it’ll turn into cheers that your favorite artists can hear all the way at Red Rocks. Too bad it won’t change the lighting, too … Psyche, it will!
Transform the show: Vote with your fellow audience members on what happens next: Pyrotechnics, cool animations, and more. It’s like those choose-your-adventure books but with fire and cool vibes.
Choose the encore: Our artists will do anything you want! Just kidding. But they will play the encore that gets voted up the most. Make your pick, and end the night with your favorite jam.
Share the love: Messages in a bottle are so last century. Now, it’s messages on rocks—Red Rocks. Send your message to the artists, and we’ll project it onto the actual Red Rocks for them to see.
Although we won’t be able to see these shows, we will be able to participate digitally. For more information on this new series, called Red Rocks Unpaused, click here.
