When it comes to techno, Richie Hawtin has been one of the very best to do it. The Canadian mastermind released the majority of his discography under his own name in the 90’s, before mainly focusing his production on his more abstract Plastikman project. In fact, the last time Richie Hawtin released his last solo EP was all the way back in 1999.
That all changed recently however, with the release of his new Time Warps EP. This new EP is much more in line with the type of energy he brings during his jaw-dropping DJ sets. Time Warps contains two tracks, both of which are nearly 20 minutes long. By today’s standards, thats almost enough length to be considered an album.
Strap yourself in and check out the heavy new two-tracker from Richie Hawtin below. Enjoy!
