With RL Grime’s highly anticipated forthcoming album NOVA on the way, we’ve been impatiently awaiting the full project due this Friday Jul. 25. Ahead of the full release, we’ve been blessed with yet another single “Light Me Up” featuring his past “Stay For It” collaborator Miguel as well as Julia Michaels.
While RL Grime has been a king of Trap since his beginning, he’s been exploring new realms on this project and further taps into the pop world on this new release. With songs like “Pressure,” “Undo,” and “Era” maintaining his early trap sound, he’s recruited vocalists on “I Wanna Know,” “Stay For It,” and now “Light Me Up” taking a more hybrid Future Bass / Trap direction.
