RÜFÜS DU SOL Have Completed A New Live Album

RÜFÜS DU SOL have a special live album coming!

Jon George, keyboardist of the trio, spilled the beans in an interview with Variety this morning when being interviewed about their recent Grammy nomination. When asked about if RÜFÜS was going to be returning to the same Venice, California studio to record their next album, this is what Jon George had to say:

Not to the same studio, no. We have a trip out to the Valley Of the Yuccas planned in April for a few weeks. We recorded a live album out there late last year. No one knows about that just yet, so I guess this is the exclusive on that. But, we loved it so much out there we thought that we need to come back on our next writing trip and set up here for a couple of weeks and really dig into some ideas.

Anyone that has seen the Aussie trio play live know that they are an absolute force. This live album should be a treat.

This Sunday, the trio will be at the Grammy awards, hoping to take home Best Dance Recording for “Underwater,” as well as Best Dance/Electronic Album for Solace. They’re up against some tough competition, going up against some our favorites such as Flume, Tycho, Skrillex, and others. Check the out the other Grammy noms in the Dance category right here.
