Run The Jewels‘ fourth studio album, RTJ4, has arrived early! Both El-P and especially Killer Mike have been politically charged artists throughout their careers, and today the duo has announced that, in light of the protests going on around the country, they will be dropping RTJ4 early and for free.
The duo took to socials to explain why they wanted to drop it early:
Fuck it, why wait. The world is infested with bullshit so here’s something raw while you deal with it all. We hope it brings you some joy. Stay safe and hopeful out there and thank you for giving 2 friends the chance to be heard and do what they love. With sincere love and gratitude, Jaime + Mike
As per usual, El-P and Killer Mike bring the heat with this new album. Aggressive beats, raw bars, and a general high-energy, clench-your-fists vibe on this one makes it the perfect album to channel some pent up energy.
