Sam Gellaitry has firmly placed himself among the most exciting alt-pop artists coming out of the UK right now. Soon, we’ll be able to hear the culmination of his new direction. The multi-faceted talent has announced a new mixtape titled VF Vol II, set for a release on September 23. Along with the announcement comes a brand new single, “SEROTONIN.”
This new single, which is a beaming, upbeat love ballad, is the second single from VF Vol II (the first being “Picture In My Mind” with PinkPantheress). It is a touching tale about an online relationship Sam Gellaitry briefly had during lockdowns. According to him, “SEROTONIN” is the least like anything he’s put out, and we’d have to agree. He’s been taking risks with his sound but so far, this newer side of Sam is paying off for both him and his fans.
While Viewfinder Vol. 1 was more of a beat tape (released back in 2019), we’re expecting VF Vol II to feature more of this fresh, bubbly, pop-leaning music.
