San Holo & Manila Killa Join Forces On Bittersweet New Track, “Mean It”

||, , , |

If it wasn’t already clear by now, San Holo is an absolute music making machine. The iconic Dutch producer dropped his sophomore album, bb u ok?, earlier this year and is already back in the mix with more music. He’s teamed up with another heavyweight, Manila Killa, for their latest release, “Mean It,” out now via bitbird/Moving Castle/Counter Records.

San Holo and Manila Killa bring out the best in each other as this one blends elements of indie and dance as singer/songwriter, Nick Lopez, lends some gentle vocals to cap things off. The song follows a broken hearted lover trying to navigate the brave new world independently and acts as a microcosm for the artists involved both sonically and lyrically. “Mean It” came to fruition over the pandemic and was inspired by the distances it created in everyone’s lives, coping with loss, and intimacy.
