Sango has always been up there with KAYTRANADA as one of the best beatmakers in the game for a minute now. We eat up anything he delivers, and today he’s brought us a 17-track mixtape by the name of SHANGO.
This was a special project, as Sango went and sampled sounds and music from 20 different African countries that include Nigeria, Somalia, Ghana, Togo, Sudan, and more. The goal was “anthropology through music,” Sango mentioned in a tweet.
We’re loving the concept behind this mixtape, and it has come out brilliantly.
