SBTRKT Returns From 6-Year Hiatus with New Song “BODMIN MOOR”

One of the more sought-after producers in electronic music has just returned from a six-year hiatus! SBTRKT is back on the scene with a brand new single. It’s titled “BODMIN MOOR,” and it’s his first release since his 2016 album SAVE YOURSELF.

According to SBTRKT, the title is a reference to a place in the southwestern part of the UK where there were sightings of a mythical “large cat.” It was known as the Beast of Bodin Moor. The sound on this track is particularly feral and gritty, matching the concept fittingly.

“BODMIN MOOR” also comes with a wild music video directed by The Rest. SBTRKT has put a lot of emphasis on the visual aspect of this tune. Here’s what he had to say about the plot of the video:

The main plot for the video represents my journey through the music business—and my prior records being owned in perpetuity by someone else. A big part of my reason for taking so long to return is navigating the industry and figuring out how to own my art.
