Hot off of their most recent single, “I Found God,” and with no intentions of slowing down, Denver-based electronic duo, Shae District, are reaching new heights in their career and exploring unknown territory through each new release. Their newest track, “Sink,” discusses the topic of mental health awareness, and shines through its melodic production.
Emotional vocals communicate combating feelings of struggle and triumph at the introduction of the track. As the song lyrically unfolds, the production follows alongside, taking direction from the vocals’ sentiment and building as the emotions grow more intense. Shae District experiments with darker tones, additionally approaching the production from a more house-oriented view than their most recent tracks.
Here’s what Shae District had to say about their new tunes:
The goal of our new music is to make you feel present, pensive and empowered. Everything written and produced has been a direct reflection of the life we’ve been living over the past few years. We’re happy to say this era of Shae District is our most authentic yet.
