Every now and then, we have the pleasure of debuting some amazing talent on the site. Shingo Nakamura is no stranger to the world of progressive house after first premiering in 2010. The Japanese-based producer and DJ has had a massive rise in popularity during the pandemic, quickly becoming SiriusXM Chill’s top streamed artist, and drawing comparisons to heavyweights like Lane 8 and Nora en Pure. We’re thrilled to finally welcome him to the site with his latest track “Wherever You Go,” out now via Monstercat Silk.
Shingo’s beautiful ambient-tinged house textures are on full display as he eases listeners into the track. While he typically focuses on instrumental leaning productions, “Wherever You Go” features a powerful vocal addition provided by singer/songwriter Richard Walters. Shingo combines Japanese-inspired instrumentation, classical piano arrangements, and progressive house rhythms for a truly blissful & melodic affair.
In addition to the release, Shingo has recently launched his summer mix series Summer of Shingo, comprising of three individual mixes that will be released throughout this summer.
