Skepta Drops Certifiably Hard Fifth Studio Album ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’

Skepta’s fifth studio album, Ignorance Is Bliss has officially landed. The project is the follow up to his astonishing Konnichiwa album that dropped in 2016. With Konnichiwa’s critical acclaim that earned him the Mercury Prize (best album released in UK by British or Irish act), Skepta certainly had raised the bar quite high for himself. The grandiose MC had no trouble reaching that bar however, with Ignorance Is Bliss.

“Do you know what I have just done? I’ve made songs bigger than man’s whole existence, bruv,” Skepta claimed on Beats 1. Confidence is always important when you’re putting your work on display, and that’s something Skepta certainly doesn’t lack, and it’s evident in his music.

Skepta not only has ferocious verses on this new album, but he also produced every single beat (with some collabs here and there). If that’s not pure talent, we don’t know what is.
