Skrillex & Hikaru Utada Share Highly-Anticipated New Collab “Face My Fears”

||, |, ,

We were pleasantly surprised last fall when we found out that Skrillex & Poo Bear were teaming up with Hikaru Utada for the theme of the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III. And though we got a taste of the track when the trailer dropped in December, today we’ve received the final version of “Face My Fears”.

While we still have to wait another week till Kingdom Hearts III receives its full release on January 25, this latest offering already has us soaking up the nostalgia. Starting off like a chilling emotional ballad, Hikaru’s ghostly vocals slowly float in atop a gentle piano melody. With Skrillex and Poo Bear on the production, this collaboration could’ve gone a multitude of ways, but upon hearing the first drop, it’s apparent that Skrill is sticking to the new skittering synth/vocal chop direction we’ve been hearing (and loving) on his latest releases and ID’s. Stream “Face My Fears” in all it’s glory below and enjoy!
