Just yesterday Skrillex visited Atlantic City’s Wav Nightclub, debuting new music in typical Skrillex fashion. This time the new sounds came in the form of unreleased ID featuring rapper Rick Ross which also appears to have a cool back story as the potential theme song for the highly anticipated new movie “Suicide Squad."
The hook chants “Suicide Squad,” and the verses even mention a “purple Lambo.” Which is set to be the Joker’s car in the new film.
Skrillex is no stranger to involving both his music and character in the depths of Hollywood but we never thought we'd see him doing a song with Rick Ross as the theme song for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. This collab with Rick Ross adds to the list of massive hip hop collaborations from Skrillex including tracks with Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, The Game, and more. From what we can tell of the live rip below, this collaboration feels perfect fit for the new film with it’s balance of heavy dubstep elements and hip-hop aesthetics with Rick Ross’ added verses.
Stream a rip of the new song below and be on the look out for more news surrounding the track. Enjoy
