Producer, rapper, and instrumentalist, Snøw, has emerged as one of the more exciting names in the lo-fi genre. Dubbed the “Lofi King” by Zane Lowe, he’s long been known for his instrumental and vocal contributions to lo-fi hip-hop but is heading into uncharted territories with his newest project. Today, he’s making his debut as a producer with his next mixtape, Demons Can’t Find Love, out now via Nettwerk.
Much of his lo-fi origins can be heard throughout the mixtape. Subtle beats infused with light instrumentation serve as the backdrop much of the time while Snøw sings and raps. There’s an impressive versatility to the project that even finds the rapper singing in spanish at times. All in all, Demons Can’t Find Love is an introspective look inside the life of Snøw who writes about love, loss and heartbreak.
