Last year marked the first for Spring Awakening Music Festival, one of the new strictly electronic festivals that brought in over 50,000 people it's first year. The festival is returning to the legendary Soldier Field in the heart of Chicago this year now taking place 3 days during June 14th, 15th, & 16th. The festival is expecting to be even bigger, with over 75,000 in attendance, and over 100 Dj's in playing over the 3 days. Early bird tickets went on sale this morning and sold out, so look out for the next round of cheap tickets before going up again.
There are two confimred headliners so far, the mastermind of bass, Bassnectar. Then on the complete other spectrum of the electronic world, house legend turned mainstream star Calvin Harris will be headlining as well. There are also some strong rumors that we can't full confirm, but would like to very much believe due to artists either accidentally announcing after playing a show in Chicago and online. These names have not been confirmed by the festival, but include: Zeds Dead, NERVO, and Gramatik.
The whole This Song Is Sick crew is looking forward to this massive 3 days in the wonderful city of Chicago!
