Every now and then a song grabs you by the neck and pulls you out of your mid-day slump. That’s exactly what happens listening to the new track by Staysick. Out via NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s GUD VIBRATIONS label, “Dis” completely hijacks the senses.
A few sonic textures set the scene for us: police sirens and a whistle. Staysick lets us know to buckle up because we’re in for a ride. He revs the song’s engine in the first few seconds, letting rip a snarl of bass. We don’t have to wait long before we plunge into that first drop. The rest of the track is pure adrenaline with its headbang-inducing currents of dubby synth.
