SUBSHIFT, the UK producer formerly known as FOULPLAY, is a newer face to the scene but has been steadily experimenting with his hybrid Bass and Tech House sound. Having released tracks on numerous reputable labels, including Tony Romera’s Sans Merci records, he’s now making his debut on Insomniac Records Imprint IN / ROTATION with the double release of “My Mind / Let Me.”
Both tracks show off his hybrid house style by combining low, pulsating tech house basslines with energetic modular synth riffs. Sprinkle in some distorted vocals here and there for an added effect and you have the makings of two house tracks that are club-worthy just about anywhere you find yourself.
