Subtronics Releases Scorching EP ‘Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion’

Fresh off of his groundbreaking Ultra mainstage performance, dubstep icon Subtronics is continuing his blazing hot streak of both performances and releases. The Philly megastar announced it at the end of his set, and now it here: his new EP Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion.

Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion is an 8-track showcase of why Subtronics has amassed the devoted following he has over the years. “Lock In” is an absolute standout of the project; a gritty dubstep banger alongside another huge in the game, Wooli. “Final Breath” featuring A Little Sound is the track where he really flexes his talents; what starts out as an airy DnB intro builds to a melodic whistle before transforming into some utterly filthy wonks. “Oblivion” is another highlight as it kicks the project off with a bang with rhythmic glitchy bass bliss.

Speaking on the EP, Subtronics says,

“Part 1 of the EP conveys that all of reality, in its complexity and grandeur, originates from nature and the fundamental laws of the universe. It emphasizes the Fibonacci sequence and golden ratio as intrinsic patterns that govern nature, not through divine intervention, but through physics. Building on themes of alternate dimensions and fractals, the Fibonacci spiral is presented as the foundational DNA of reality.”

The producer clearly stays busy as his 2025 is only heating up more as he continues to perform all over North America through the summer. Stream Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion below and enjoy!
