Super Duper Transcends Genres on Uplifting New Album ‘The Way Back’

Nashville’s creative mind Super Duper embraces nostalgia, vintage sampling, organic instrumentation, and a mesmerizing melancholy for a borderless sound that transcends genres. Today, he’s dropping his newest nostalgia-infused album The Way Back, out now via Daisy & The Robot.

The Way Back stands as a testament to Super Duper’s creative evolution, flawlessly encapsulating the delicate balance between introspection and innovation. The title track sets the tone for the album as a blaring sax, a head-bobbing groove that gets you ready for a breezy ride through space and time.

Indie songstress Daniella Mason makes an appearance on one of the highlights of the album “Silver Lining”, which will have you grooving with a massive smile on your face. Other guests on the album include Lonas, Sanders Bohlke, and Bre Kennedy. More album standouts include the slowed down “My Family My Friends” which gives graduation vibes, “Bloom Bouquet” with its jamming guitar, and the raw emotion of “Lightning”.

Here’s what Super Duper had to say about the project:

“I wrote this album at the end of one phase of life but before starting a new one. Trying my best to live in the moment and appreciate the days I have now that will eventually become “the good ole days.” So, while I’m here, I’m doing my best to create music that lifts me up and comforts me through the next chapter. Music can be an escape to a specific time and feeling for anyone. An audio road trip that takes you all the way back; back to youth, back to joy, and back home.”
