TDE rapper and singer SZA took to SoundCloud yesterday to share a collection of “random thoughts.” At first glance, a release like this could appear to be some leaked demos, but they are much more than that. The tracks are titled “Nightbird,” “I Hate You,” and “Joni,” and are album-worthy cuts that will have you swooning.
These three new songs are the first we’ve heard from SZA this year, following her 2020 single “Good Days.” Although it appears that the tracks were uploaded to some random SoundCloud account, SZA herself posted a link to the uploads.
Could these three new songs be a preview of more to come from SZA? We’ll just have to stick around to find out, but we’re loving what we’re hearing.
