Since being one of the most celebrated beatsmiths of the early-mid 2010s, Ta-ku has become much more elusive in the 2020s. That’s why we get excited when we hear about any new musical developments from the Australian.
One of his most beloved musical endeavors was his Drive Slow, Homie mixes, which typically contained 45 minutes of emotion-rich, lofi hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music. The last one he put out was back in 2017, but today we’re excited to share the news that he has officially announced plans for Drive Slow, Homie Pt. VI.
On his social media, Ta-ku posted that he was working on the new mix and to send over any demos his way. If you’re a producer with music that you think would fit, this is a great opportunity to connect with one of the best tastemakers in underground music.
