Tape B is without a doubt one of the brightest young figures in bass music. While he’s released a few respectable EPs over the past couple years, it’s his unofficial SoundCloud drops that have earned him a cult-like internet following. Today, he’s starting a new mixtape series titled Vibe Check and has just released Vol: 1.
Tape B’s other mixtape series, Driptapes, highlights his hybrid rap/trap sound, including flips of Mac Miller, Lil Wayne, and more. Vibe Check is intended to go in a different direction, showcasing his own edits of old-school dubstep classics. Cuts include flips of Nero & Skrillex’s “Promises,” Flight Facilities & Adventure Club’s “Crave You,” and Gemini’s “Blue.”
The cover art is also strikingly similar to the iconic UKF Dubstep logo, adding even more nostalgia to the release. Tape B is currently in the midst of his Old School x New School tour and is fast approaching his 2-night run at Denver’s Ogden Theatre on December 22 & 23. Click the link here for more info.
