The Flaming Lips Continue To Throw Safe Live Space Bubble Shows In Oklahoma

||, |,

One band has found an amazing way to safely perform in front of a live audience, and they’ve just added more shows to their calendar. The Flaming Lips showed us last year that they could play shows with everyone—including the band—while in huge plastic spheres, aka space bubbles. Today, The Flaming Lips have announced that they will continue to do more space bubble shows. The band has announced two more concerts set to take place at Oklahoma City’s The Criterion on March 12 + 13.

Safety is the top priority for these shows, and you can see the elaborate precautions put in place by the band and venue here. For those that live nearby, this could be a great opportunity to experience the joy and togetherness of live concerts without taking any big risks.

Tickets go on sale for The Flaming Lips’ upcoming space bubble shows this Wednesday, February 3 at 9:00am MT. You can follow this link here to snag tickets once they’re live. Be ready, though. Their last shows sold out in minutes. You can check out a video of someone’s own personal space bubble experience below.
