The Knocks Share Must Hear Chill House Single “Trouble” Feat. Absofacto

||, , |,

What first started out as a ballad turned into a groovy 3+ minute jam for New York duo The Knocks. The group's latest release, "Trouble" feat. Absofacto, is driven by a funky house bassline, helium-pitched vocals and summery piano chords that brighten up the piece.

"We originally wrote the song with Abso in NYC at our studio as a slow, piano ballad, at 90 bpm. The idea was to write something that felt melancholy and classic. After we laid down the original idea, he left and we started experimenting with it — treating it like a sample — totally chopping it up and flipping it." — The Knocks

"Trouble" is out now on Big Beat/Neon Gold and will also be part of the duo's upcoming EP due Feb. 3. Until then, stream their new tune below and enjoy!
