The Knocks & Dragonette Reunite On 80’s Pop-Inspired Tune “Foolish Pleasure”

It’s always satisfying to hear two veteran forces of the dance music scene come together to make magic. The Knocks and Dragonette knew they were cooking when they released “Revelation” last month, and continue the momentum with today’s release “Foolish Pleasure.

“Foolish Pleasure” is a dance-pop confection full of emotional lyrics and twinkling textures. The Knocks lay the groundwork with 80’s inspired production evident in the swirls of cotton candy synth and soaring percussion that embellish the track. As Dragonette hits the high notes on the euphoric chorus, it’s not hard to imagine this as the closing song to an old school Molly Ringwald movie.

We’re loving this song, and thrilled to hear more of The Knocks and Dragonette’s synergy when their collaborative album Revelation comes out in June. Until then, make sure to check out “Foolish Pleasure” below. Enjoy!
