THEY. Return After 2 Years with Smooth New Single “Blu Moon”

|||

The last time we heard from alt-R&B duo THEY., they had just dropped their album The Amanda Tape. After two years, we have a brand new single to share from producer Dante Jones and singer Drew Love titled “Blu Moon.” The track has the signature smooth and nostalgic sound we’ve come to know and love from THEY., with soulful, romantic lyrics and classic r&b instrumentals.

With inspirations including Tame Impala, Taking Back Sunday, Slim Thug, and E-40, this duo never fails to impress us with their unique genre-blending style. Dante had this to say on what influenced them the most in the making of “Blu Moon”:

“We’ve definitely grown and matured throughout our career, but ‘Blü Moon’ is about those moments where we still find ourselves falling victim to temptation. Also, nostalgia is at the core of everything we do musically and visually throughout the span of our career so the video draws from the classic films of the late 70s and early 80s while still calling back to the R&B videos of the 90s and 00s.”

No announcements of an album release any time soon, but the music video for “Blu Moon” is said to be the first of several in a series. We’ll definitely be on the lookout for what THEY. does next, and until then you can check out their new single below. Enjoy!
