A Return From Legendary Trap Duo TNGHT May Be On The Horizon

LuckyMe Records is definitely up to something. Having just hinted at the return of Rustie in 2019, today we’ve started to see yet another pattern this time leading to the possible return of TNGHT.

We were all shocked when TNGHT announced their split back in 2013. Having parted ways only months after blowing up off their incredible self-titled EP, everything the Lunice x Hudson Mohawke have been involved with over the years has continued to be shrouded in mystery – and today is no exception.

With LuckyMe’s annual advent calendar having dropped only a few days ago, while Hudson Mohawke was noticeably absent from the tracklist (Lunice still dropped a banger), Hudmo, along with TNGHT still suspiciously made an appearance in the tags on LuckyMe’s SoundCloud upload – something that we haven’t seen on any advent calendars in years past. While this obviously doesn’t confirm a return, paired with Lunice announcing he and HudMo were working on new music back in 2017 and TNGHT’s relatively inactive Twitter account today posting a cryptic meme of two men locking arms (EDM Twitter you know the one, see below), we’re hopeful that there’s some substance to these latest rumors.

Seeing as Dec. 28 will mark five years since the duo split, while we would be overjoyed for some new TNGHT to surface over the holidays, as we’ve been fooled before, only time will tell if we’ll see a return from the legendary duo. Our favorite doggo Lil Hank weighed in asking for HudMo’s help to save EDM, which he replied “Only if we retire the term EDM.” The fact he did not deny this rumor is promising and we can only hope this happens sooner rather than later. See below and enjoy!
