Today’s New Music Friday is brought to you by two trailblazing women in electronic music. TOKiMONSTA and Suzi Analogue are ready to reveal their collaborative side-project with the world in the form of a new mini-album, Analogue Monsta: BOOM. Originally released in limited quantities exclusively on vinyl in 2012, the project will be released on DSPs on December 8.
TOKiMONSTA and Suzi Analogue are also sharing the project’s first two singles, “Time To” and “Conversion Theory,” ahead of next month’s drop. Both tracks offer a preview of Analogue Monsta’s futuristic and eclectic sound, fusing future bass, alternative R&B, footwork, and more. TOKiMONSTA and Suzi Analogue were clearly years ahead of their time and are ready to demonstrate their flair for pushing sonic boundaries.
Speaking on the project Suzi Analogue writes,
“The Analogue Monsta project was truly ahead of its time. We felt a strong calling to propel it into the future, recognizing the trailblazing potential it held. It provided a vital space for femme-identifying producers and songwriters to fearlessly explore beats, lyrics and tempos with us. This experimental journey not only influenced the current musical landscape but is poised to leave a lasting mark on the soundscape of the future.”
