Over the past year, as festivals rolled out online editions of their events due to coronavirus, Tomorrowland‘s was undoubtedly one of the most impressive. The way they used green screen technology made it actually look like the DJs were performing for massive, Tomorrowland-sized crowds.
Today, Tomorrowland has announced another virtual event, this time to celebrate the way-past-due end of the year 2020. They’ve unveiled a stacked lineup, with performances from Major Lazer, Charlotte De Witte, Maceo Plex, and a rare set by Duck Sauce (who were poised for a huge comeback this year).
There will surely be some new tricks up Tomorrowland’s sleeve for this one, as it’s been a few months since their original virtual festival this summer. We’re eager to see how this one plays out. With no large scale New Year’s events this year, this is looking like one our best options to celebrate.
