Electric Forest has always put forth some of the best all-encompassing electronic lineups in the festival circuit. This year is no exception and with headliners like ODESZA, Zeds Dead, REZZ, Chris Lake, Jamie xx, Ganja White Night, and more, it’s easy to overlook the rest of the talented bunch.
To honor the weekend, we thought it would be fun to highlight some of our favorite underground artists set to perform throughout the weekend. Even if you’re familiar with some of the artists on our list, they’re still massive underdogs in comparison to the heavyweights listed above.
Dig into our Top 5 Underground Artists To See at Electric Forest below. Enjoy!
5. San Pacho
San Pacho is a fast-rising tech house producer hailing from Croatia. Since the birth of the project in 2019, he’s released songs on a variety of labels, including Confession, Insomniac, Dim Mak, and UKF. His high-energy “latin house” sound is lighting up dancefloors across the globe and will definitely be a welcome addition to the Forest.
4. ROSSY
LA-based ROSSY is leading the path for women in trap music. Spotted capturing hearts alongside bass heavyweights such as RL Grime, Illenium, GRiZ, Troyboi, and Flosstradamus, she’s growing larger by the minute with her anthemic classic trap sound.
3. Saka
Originally from Hong Kong, Saka is an experimental beatmaker with an admiration for heavy, dark-sounding bass music. The left-field producer draws heavily on hip-hop, trap, neuro, drum n bass, and ambient to craft his own unique, chest-thumping brand of bass music.
2. Austin Millz
Harlem-born DJ and producer Austin Millz has been breaking out of the underground and into the mainstream circuit with force. His unique fusion of electronic, R&B, and hip-hop has drawn comparison to heavyweights like KAYTRANADA and SG Lewis but still remains entirely fresh and new.
1. Tape B
Tape B is without a doubt one of our favorite upcoming producers in bass music. His ability to call on the old school sound of dubstep within his own forward-thinking productions has propelled him into a level all on his own. With releases already on Deadbeats, UKF, Subsidia, WAKAAN, and Wubaholics, there’s no telling what the ceiling is for the exciting young producer.
