Tripp St. Delivers Impressive & Playful Fourth Studio Album ‘Liberosis’

||, |,

Liberosis: the desire to care less about things. After Tripp St. removed his mask earlier this year, he has entered a new era. It’s a fresh start for the New York City resident after taking the scene by storm in 2020. No need to hide behind the mask anymore, it’s time to live carefree. Today, Tripp St. has delivered his fourth studio album Liberosis, inspired by this exact change he is going through as an artist.

Via CloZee’s label Odyzey Music, the album comes in at 12 tracks long and is full of liberating and funky bass music. Tripp St. began the album rollout two weeks ago with the release of “Been A While,” a mellow and groovy dubstep tune, as well as the release of the “Could I Be” whose catchy and pure funk beat serves as the outro to the album. Liberosis as an album overall is a nice blend of these two songs.

A newcomer on the heavier side include “Bodega Boys” with Sir Bishop, who raps in a Biggie Smalls-esque timbre before wobbly bass pulls the rug out from under you making for a banger with a lot of attitude. “Long Ago” with Chez begins with melodic keys over a standard hip-hop beat and has a vibe that is essentially the essence of being in a state of liberosis, the track then reminds us Tripp St. isn’t here to play and gives us a healthy and creative dose of riddim. “Sleepless Night” comes near the end of the album and within one track represents the balance of bass-face-inducing beats with heavenly melodies that exists on the album.

We should all desire to live in liberosis. Loosen our grip on life and live more freely. Let go of what is behind us and start to appreciate what’s in front of us. Tripp St. does a sensational job representing this philosophy on this album. Stream the album below and enjoy!
