If you are not already familiar with rising artist, Tutara Peak, now is the time to hop on the bandwagon. It boggles our mind how the multi-faceted producer is not already one of the biggest artists in the world. His artistry is truly something to behold. The British virtuoso continues his musical journey with his latest EP, By Yourself, Boy.
Wow. By Yourself, Boy has it all: immersive storytelling, genre-bending production, and effortless sing-along-ability. Tutara Peak’s blend of acoustic and electronic elements allows for a dynamic ebb and flow of different energy levels, with dance floor moments like “Sports” incorporating more vibrant synths, and soft, emotive tracks like “Telescope” leaning on live drums and guitars.
Tutara Peak shared the meaning behind By Yourself, Boy, commenting:
‘By Yourself, Boy’ is about being lost in multiple places at once. Struggling to understand my declining mental health over the past year and a half has manifested itself into this collection of songs, forming my most personal record to date. I felt like I had to go that far to contextualise what this EP means to me and not have it be just another release into the world. Throughout the process of working with this music, it has taught me that being lost can be a wonderful thing, even if you don’t feel it at the time. You discover new things you wouldn’t have found before, there’s a freedom in that you just don’t get any other way.
