The genesis of the single is tied to tough beginnings, Pines channeled a time period of pain for the best as he began constructing the initial components of what would be the single.
Depressed and anxious about his ill friend, Pines still answered the call to write and create, his efforts leading to a specific sense of longing and sorrow being blended into the song lyrics themselves. This intentional choice in topline design plays uniquely off the bright and upbeat instrumental.
Following his success of his debut album MRI, VC Pines is years deep into his career and already has secured millions of streams on Spotify alone. His sound often embraces a more chill side of the popular music spectrum. Beachy-instruments usage and relaxed drumwork act as the back-drop to intoxicating vocal work that eases the senses.
Interestingly, Pines incorporates his experiences with temporal lobe epilepsy into many of his albums and singles, showing overcoming obstacles and using those experiences creatively is in the cards for the solo talent.
