Vince Staples Drops Impressive New Single “Rain Come Down” Off Upcoming Album

||

Vince Staples recently announced his sophomore album and he has just shared the third single from the project, which lives up to the high bar he set with the first two. "Rain Come Down" follows previous tracks "BagBak" and "Big Fish," and if these are an indicator of the quality for an album we are due for a very strong project.

Ty Dolla $ign's melodic crooning starts the song with a walking bassline behind him, and then Vince Staples comes in to spit hard verses behind vocal modulation. The Long Beach rapper shows off his lyricism and ability to paint a clear mental image with his words in both of his verses. Vince runs the first verse back again, creating a hypnotic, inescapable feeling while Ty Dolla $ign splits them up with a memorable hook.

Vince Staples' album Big Fish Theory drops on June 23rd through Def Jam, and we can't wait to hear what else he has in store for us on the album he calls "my Afro-Futurism." Enjoy!
