It’s no secret that we’re big Glass Animals fans here at TSIS. Their critically acclaimed album, Dreamland, was an absolute thing of beauty and we just can’t get enough. Thankfully, it seems we’re not alone. The English psych pop outfit took to The Late Show with James Corden for an engaging live rendition of album standout, “Tangerine,” and slipped in an important easter egg in the process.
As that tell tale synth line bounces around and Dave’s whispy voice glides through the lyrics, the video revolves around a giant tangerine wearing what appears to be a blond wig and a frowny face. Orange, blond hair, frowny face, and a spray painted “11-3-2020” on the back wall… Hmm I wonder what they can be referencing?
These late show performances are always so entertaining. Whether the artists do stripped down acoustic versions of their hits or get creative with their home performance set up, it always keeps the music fresh and captivating. Watch Glass Animals perform their Dreamland hit “Tangeringe” on The Late Show With James Corden below. Enjoy!
