Watch Keiynan Lonsdale Bring Out All The Stops In Brilliant New Live Performance

|||, , ,

We love ourselves some Keinyan Lonsdale. The modern day renaissance man blew us away earlier this year with his long-awaited debut album, Rainbow Boy, with subsequent live performance plans put on hold due to the pandemic. However, this would prove to be nothing more than a bump in the road as Lonsdale was later tapped to perform as part of Billboard’s At Home Series PRIDE Edition Concert Series. The resulting performance is nothing short of a spectacle that you simply cannot miss.

The show leads off with a bold, attitude-filled rendition of the hip-hop/funk laden track, “Gay Streetfighter.” As the vigorous dance number subsides, a resounding sound byte of the protest call, “No Justice No Peace” and a Malcom X clip usher in the raw, yet conversely catchy, “White Noise.” After a velvety saxophone solo and hypnotic tap dance feature, we transition to the gold tinted, slightly psychedelic closing performance of R&B anthem, “Chocolate.”

2020 has been the year of the at home concert. I’ve watched more than my fair share of these virtual performances, and I have to say, this makes a STRONG case as my favorite of the year. The charisma that permeates the music and this performance is impossibly infectious, all while conveying a clear message of power, independence, and love. With performance and musical chops reminiscent of legends like Prince and Michael Jackson, Keiynan Lonsdale is here to make his mark on the world. Watch Lonsdale’s stellar live performance below. Enjoy!
