If you’re already a house music fan, chances are you’ve heard Wave Point (aka Bryan Jones) before. He was formerly part of the beloved Detroit duo Golf Clap (now manned solo by Hugh Cleal), and now has ventured into his own solo work under this new moniker. With his most recent release, “Feelings,” we’re fully sold on the sound of his new solo project.
Not only does “Feelings” have a funky and pristine groove, but he’s also enlisted six different session musicians to contribute to the project, giving this one an organic vibe to it as well. The melodies from the strings, woodwind, and brass instruments melt perfectly into the electronic elements of the tune.
This is the third release from Wave Point so far, all via his own label, Even Smoother. We applaud Bryan for coming out of the gates strong with his new endeavors.
