Having emerged onto the electronic scene only a few years ago with his lush, heavy sound, at 19-years-old Whethan has been gaining incredible traction. Having progressed to collab with the likes of Dua Lipa, Tom Morello, Flux Pavilion & more, today the Chicago-based artist has reached yet another milestone with the release of his debut Life of a Wallflower Vol. 1 EP.
We realized as soon as we saw the tracklist on this latest offering that it’s been quite a bit in the making. Featuring incredible previously released tracks “Good Nights”, “Be Like You”, “Superlove” & more (including his impressive recent collab with HONNE), Whethan chronicles his journey over the last few years via Vol. 1, with each track growing more complex and passionate than the last.
Weighing in at 8-tracks, including a never before heard collab with Bipolar Sunshine, while this debut from the young producer definitely packs enough to be considered a full LP, as it comes with the Vol. 1 qualifier, we’ve only become more excited to see what the future holds for Whethan.
