It’s already shaping up to be a good year for Whethan! Coming off his long-awaited “Pumped Up Kicks” remix and with his new album Fantasy on the horizon, today Wheaty has dropped a new single “Stay Forever” (feat. STRFKR).
Coming as the first single off his forthcoming LP, we’re loving the new (yet familiar) road Whethan’s traveled down on this latest offering. As the young-phenom has continued to delve more into the realm of indie collabs over his past few releases, working with quite a few of the indie-acts he grew up listening to – it’s incredible to watch him continue to push the envelope, dialing his unique inspirations into his electronic music-focused production.
Featuring a masterful blend of soft, warbling guitar, crisp percussion, retro, pulsing synths and vocals / additional instrumentation courtesy of indie-band STRFKR, Whethan seems to have already outdone himself…and it’s only January.
