Will.i.am admits to stealing song from Arty and Mat Zo on new album

American muscian Will.i.am has recently been accused of stealing the song "Rebound" from Mat Zo & Arty released on internaional trance label Anjunabeats. He stole a huge section of the song and called it "sampling" in his new song "Let's Go" which just got released on his new album. You can listen to both songs below to hear for yourself.

Well if there was any question, Will.i.am. just sat down with UK's The Sun for an interview saying how "wrote this song to Rebound last year".

Here's his quotes:

“Arty is a dope producer so I wrote this song to Rebound this last year.

“I got in touch with Arty and showed it to him… but something happened and hopefully we can resolve the issue.

“It’s sad that it’s turned into a fiasco but hopefully it’s resolved, because I’m a fan of those guys. I contacted them last year and we’re fixing it now.”

So does Will.i.am somehow not understand the procedure of releasing music, and being in communication if you are going to blatantly "sample" a huge chunk of a track and call it out own.

Do you think Mat Zo and Arty will accept it? I don't see them actually letting this song stay released, since it was never approved by either artists or the label.

Let's also not forget Will.i.am's previous unapproved "sampling" of Boyz Noise and Deadmau5.
