Infectious vocals, undeniable production, and unapologetic authenticity describe Wreckno. Fresh off hosting the Big Gay Soirée at Electric Forest last weekend in celebration of 10 years of Marriage Equality in America, Wreckno is here to top off Pride month with the release of their most audacious work to date in their new EP, ID FREAK. Marking Wreckno’s first fully independent release in three years, ID FREAK is a fierce and banging project that serves as a love letter to the queer and underground bass scenes.
Consistently bold with their sound and style, there ain’t no party like a Wreckno party. And that’s exactly what we get on ID FREAK. Standing at six tracks long, the energy is through the roof from top to bottom. Title track “ID FREAK” open the project as a face melter where Wreckno’s rap cadence matches the badass beat seamlessly. “USG” with Keota and Mooogly is an extremely bass driven garage track that bends and warps in ways only Wreckno could conjure. This annual tradition of Wreckno releasing boundary-pushing Pride Month projects looks to be here to stay.
