Yellow Days Delivers Incredible New Album ‘Is Everything Okay in Your World?’ : Indie / Soul

||

Today a very talented young artist is making his TSIS debut for his first full length album that I’ve been really looking forward to since first hearing his music. Going by the name Yellow Days, this genre-blending artist stands out with a unique sound on his 13-track project Is Everything Okay in Your World?.

The 18-year-old UK artist’s real name is George van den Broek, and he does not sound like a teenager in the slightest. Something that I specifically look for in vocalists is a unique voice, and Yellow Days is just that. His gravelly vocals sound strained and filled with emotion, yet they're smooth and soulful at the same time. His sound is something that’s hard to describe as he takes elements of classic soul & blues and combines that with new-age production and unconventional song structure. His slightly grungy is juxtaposed alongside bright, pleasant chord progression that comes together so well and will leave you yearning for more. It's like if Leon Bridges was more psychedelic and also ate a bag of gravel. Although this is his first full-length album, the artist is saving the label of his “debut album” for the project he’s planning to release in spring 2018. We can't wait to hear what's coming next, but for now – enjoy!
