It has been almost five full years since Yotto served up his last LP – 2018 album, Hyperfall. Treating his fans with EPs and short-form albums in the meantime, the prolific artist has finally arrived on his newest full length body of work, comprised of some of his most impressive tracks to date, and aptly named Growth. Even after just one listen, we can confirm it was well worth the wait.
Growth showcases the entrancing, ambient production we absolutely adore from Yotto. A perfect start to the album, “Intro” captured our hearts and ears with its simplistic synth leads and powerful melodies. As we progressed through all thirteen tracks, we found ourselves on an ethereal journey, discovering our new favorite progression or groove from one track to the next, and exploring a variety of styles and textures that kept us on our toes.
Yotto commented on the development of the new album, saying:
A lot of work went into this album and I was typically (fashionably) late with EVERYTHING. The singles so far have been some of my favourite music I’ve ever released but I’m even more excited about the full album and the records you have not heard yet.
