Yung Bae Blends Future Funk And Hip-Hop Forces On “Too Cool To Feel This Lonely”

||, |

We didn’t think it was possible to fall even more in love with Yung Bae‘s funky disco production. But his latest single, “Too Cool To Feel This Lonely,” has us gaining an even deeper appreciation for his talents.

Yung Bae’s penchant for future-funk production is on full display here. From the opening plucks of bass guitar to the hazy neon synth, he and co-producer Diamond Pistols cast a hypnotic disco spell on listeners. Rappers Felly and Khary take turns laying down bars over this groovy production. They declare “I’m too cool to feel this lonely, why you talkin’ like you own me, I’ll keep moving at my own speed,” with the utmost swagger. These tongue-in-cheek lyrics perfectly match the upbeat confidence of the backing music.

This slinky tune is the latest single from Yung Bae’s upcoming album, Groove Continental: Side B. Until we get the full project, we’ll be listening to this tune on repeat. You can check it out below. Enjoy!
