For the second year in a row, Billboard has pulled out the stops to bring us a comprehensive ranking of the best electronic artists in the world. Having seen great success with last years unveiling of their new ranking system, today the results are in for the Billboard Dance 100 Artists of 2019.
In the past there’s been a great deal of controversy surrounding DJ Mag’s Top 100. With DJ ranking in itself seen by many as an attention grab yielding questionable results, Billboard Dance 100 offers a refreshing look at the true state of the dance music echelon. As we had the pleasure of speaking with the founder of Billboard Dance, Matt Medved, prior to last years launch poll, we’re excited to see his system working it’s magic yet again in 2019
The top 10 of Billboard’s Dance 100 Artists of 2019 are Marshmello, Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, Zedd, Kygo, Martin Garrix, Diplo, Tiësto, DJ Snake & David Guetta.
Although some of these chart-toppers are no surprise, we’re excited to see some of our trailblazing favorites make it on this years list. And while there’s sure to be some palpable shifts and difference in opinion over the remainder of the year, this 2019 list seems to be a relatively accurate representation of the most influential artists currently killing it in the dance music world.
